Born and raised in beautiful Cordele, Georgia, So.Crete founder and owner Ben Carr has been in the home remodel & design industry since 2012. After founding his first construction company in 2016, Ben quickly noticed a trend towards concrete. His remodeling business was doing well but his customers were always asking for concrete counter tops, wall panels, and furniture. His interest piqued, Ben reached out to Trinic, a concrete manufacturer down in Florida.

He began taking classes in early 2017 learning how to form and mix concrete and was instantly hooked. Never one to shy from a challenge, Ben bought out Custom Marble in Cordele soon after. This gave him the molds, forms, work tables, etc that he needed to start creating his own pieces. What started as a hobby soon gave Ben’s construction company the infrastructure, expertise and capabilities it needed to offer custom concrete design services to their clients.

Folks talk in a small town and sure enough, not too long after taking over Custom Marble, Ben had installed almost 30 custom concrete counter tops, islands and sinks. Thrilled with his new business, Ben decided to go all in. Thus Southern Concrete Creations, later rebranded So.Crete, was born.
